Some massive music festivals have managed to go on with no issues, giving great vibes, while others have been nothing but riots and crime ridden events. Why does this happen?

If FL1 News Now hasn’t already made it clear, I’m a huge fan of documentaries, and the other day after seeing a Facebook post about Woodstock ‘99, I had to check it out immediately. To say I was horrified was an understatement, and to be perfectly honest, this is exactly why I tend to avoid concerts and crowds. Aside from it being too “people-y” I simply don’t want to be aroud chaos, and Woodstock ‘99 was a breeding ground for chaos according to Netflix’s documentary, “Trainwreck: Woodstock ‘99”.

This made me ask:

What is the culture behind a music festival that makes it a peaceful, enjoyable event or a chaotic, dangerous riot?
